This is the Aico Ei164e mains powered 230V~ with rechargeable battery back-up, a heat alarm which can be interconnected with other alarms either wired or wireless via the RadioLINK+ base. It is best for detecting heat build-up from large flaming fires, and the heat sensor triggers at 58deg C. Ideal as a heat alarm for kitchen or for garage.
Note: the Ei164e replaces the Ei164RC - it goes on the same base, it can still use the Ei168RC, having the same function, but for wireless interconnection it uses the new RadioLINK+ system, requiring a Ei100MRF.
This heat alarm is part of the Aico Ei160e family of alarms designed specially for households and similar residential applications, including houses in multiple occupation (HMOs).
This heat alarm comes complete with the Easi-Fit base for a simple and quick installation; the detector can be easily removed and replaced. The base automatically connects both mains power and the battery as the detector head slides on.
You can use this heat alarm by itself as a standalone alarm or it can be interconnected with other alarms via a wired or wireless system. To connect the Aico Ei164e with other RadioLINK+ modules, you can simply plug in the optional RadioLINK module; this saves time, mess, and disruption in running interconnect cabling.
This alarm is fitted with a Test / Silence button to allow you to test your Alarm and System as needed. The "Silence" function allows the alarm to be silenced in case of a false alarm or a nuisance alarm (for example, the cooking fumes). The LED indicator shows when a mains "Power On" is connected (green light) or when there's a problem (yellow light). Memory feature: allows an larm that has previously activated to be easily identified.
