This is the Aico Firecap AFB2 switch and socket insert for a double 35mm back box (metal or plastic) to reinstate fire and sound barriers. It fits inside the switch/socket boxes to reinstate fire, acoustic, and air leakage, thus minimising the heat loss and air leakage into the wall cavity; also, it seals the hole left after installation.
