The grid plates and grid modules are becoming more and more popular, with the needs for wiring devices being different than the classical 2G or 3G sockets / switches / data sockets.

Forbes and Lomax also has a new range of high-quality grid plates and modules which they call, The Combination Range.

This range allows you to create a multiple gang plate according to your own specifications to meet your needs.

You have complete flexibility when both designing and planning the room layout when you are not constrained by the limitations of traditional wiring devices.

The Forbes & Lomax Combination Range

As per our previous blog post, the Forbes and Lomax combination range includes a large variety of audio, visual, telephone, HDMI, phone, etc modules and 3+ gang plates for you to make up hundreds of combinations, as needed.

With the current development of the technologies and the increase of the number of gadgets, there may be a need for USB wall sockets.

These are designed to charge mobile devices such as smartphones, tablets, iPads, Satellite Navigation equipment, and digital cameras.

In other words, the Forbes & Lomax combination range includes both the plates (in all the great finishes provided by them) and the modules designed to meet your electrical wiring needs!

How to Order the Combination Range?

We are pleased to announce that the Combination Range can be ordered at SparksDirect.co.uk.

You simply need to visit the Forbes and Lomax section and then scroll all the way to the bottom of the list where you can find the following sections: Combination Range Modules, 1G / 2G / 3G / 4G Combination Plates.

All the plates come in invisible, unlacquered brass, stainless steel, nickel silver, antique bronze, painted socket, and verdigris range as standard.

What you need to do is select the combination plate (2 - 4 gang) in the finish you desire, and then add the modules which you need.

Let's say, for example, that you need a 3-gang combination plate in a painted range containing 1 TV socket, 1 Satellite F Connector socket, and one CAT5 socket - all in a white insert.

What you need to order is 1 x 3GCOMBO, 1 x COAX, 1 x SAT, and 1 x C5, mentioning in the comments section "I want all of these with white insert".

How does the Combination Range Look Like?

If you visit the website and try to see the pictures for this range, it will be a bit difficult - the manufacturer doesn't supply images for the plates or modules themselves :( but there are a bunch of pictures of some of the more popular grid plates and modules via Forbes and Lomax.

Take a look at them below and try to guess what modules are used - you will be inspired to design and set up your own wiring accessories following the same pattern!
