Block Wall Installation Guide - Hager Flush Consumer Units

Here are the main steps from the video above - Installing a Hager Flush CU in a Block Wall:

  • To fit the flush unit to a pre-plaster wall - Remove the four frame fixing screws;
  • Remove the base earth lead; Remove the frame;
  • Remove the flange fixing screws; Place the flange on the side of the unit and fix it there;
  • Remove the other flange fixing screws; Place the flange on the other side of the unit and fix it there;
  • Select the knock outs required and remove them(you can use a small hammer and a sold screwdriver);
  • Offer the board up to the hole and insert the cables;
  • The fixing holes are placed away from the edge to ensure a good fixing;
  • Mark on the wall where you need to make holes, then drill into the wall, fix the roll plugs;
  • Re-place the frame and fixings; Re-place the base earth lead and fix it;
  • To fit a MCB, ensure the terminal cage is fully open; Pull the clip all the way out;
  • The MCB fits into the unit easily, and clicks clip into place;
  • The cover fits easily with quarter turn fixing;
