Carbon monoxide is a colourless, tasteless and odourless gas that is harmful in large quantities. It can be released by gas appliances that are not burning their fuel properly, such as when they have been improperly fitted or poorly maintained. You need to have Carbon Monoxide alarms installed where there are cookers, boilers, wood burners, and open fires. Read the Landlord's guide to CO Alarms.
