Maestro Plug-in Ceiling Rose in Polished Brass for max. 6A 230V 5kg fittings, Detacheable

This is the Lewden MB11A chandelier plug-in ceiling rose Maestro in Brass, rated at 6A max, taking 230V ceiling lights up to 5kg. The light fitting is supported throughout by its metal components.

This is a decorative plug-in ceiling rose of durable die cast construction, designed to allow the user to detach luminaires quickly & safely when cleaning, maintenance, or renewal is needed. It can support a light fitting up to 5kg max by its fex (fit with the plastic bush), by its chain (fit the hook), or by its tube (the boss of the Maestro is threaded)

• The fixed section of the ceiling rose incorporates IP2X shrouded & finger proof contacts, thus eliminating the possibility of exposed live contacts when the slide section is detached
• The slide section is equipped with a cord grip to prevent strain on the terminal connections
• Insulated parts are manufactured from flame retardant materials
• It is possible to support luminaires from the ceiling rose using two different methods:
  1. Extremely lightweight luminaires can be suspended by a circular flexible cord alone. A grommet is provided for this
  2. An open ended suspension hook is suitable for use with luminaires weighing no more than 5Kg
• Suspension hooks are connected to the slide section of the ceiling rose via a 12.5mm thread
• Captive screw type brass terminal blocks are provided for connections to permanent live, switched live, neutral, & earth, in similar format to a conventional ceiling rose.
• Eight terminals with captive screws are provided for conductors. Each can accept up to two 1.5sq mm conductors. The knockouts are offset to avoid the need to cut the ceiling joist.
• Cable access knockouts are provided in the base plate, & are offset from centre to prevent the need to cut ceiling joists
• The slide has a 1/2” BSB female thread to accept a matching tube or threaded hook supplied. A white grommet is supplied when the Maestro is used with a light fitting supported by a flexible cord. Suspension loops can be purchased separately.
• The Maestro slide is fitted with an internal cord grip to prevent any strain being imposed on the conductor terminals.
