The FTS40 6A Pneumatic Time Delay Switch is a reliable and energy-efficient solution for automatic lighting control in commercial and residential spaces. Designed for 2-wire operation with no neutral, this switch turns off lighting automatically after a preset time delay, helping to reduce energy waste and save on electricity costs.
Ideal for staircases, hallways, corridors, and storage cupboards, the FTS40’s single-gang design allows it to fit standard BS mounting boxes, making it suitable for both new installations and replacements.
Equipped with a snap-action mechanism, the switch ensures consistent operation every time. Pressing the plunger button “makes” or “breaks” the change-over contacts, and the plunger returns to its original position during the time delay. A semi-translucent faceplate allows a small flash to be visible when contacts operate.
The time delay is adjustable from 10 seconds to 10 minutes using the brass timing screw on the rear plate (clockwise to increase delay), providing flexible control for a range of lighting applications.
