This is the Fusebox RTA101030C 10A C Curve Type A RCBO – 30mA Earth-Leakage & 10kA Overcurrent Protection (Single Module, DIN-Rail) available at SparksDirect.co.uk for the best price.
The Fusebox RTA101030C is a 10A RCBO (Residual Current Breaker with Overcurrent protection) designed to enhance circuit safety by combining an RCD (Residual Current Device) and an MCB (Miniature Circuit Breaker) into a single compact unit. This integrated device protects electrical circuits from dangerous earth-leakage currents that can cause electric shock, as well as from overloads and short circuits that can damage cables, appliances, and infrastructure.
Featuring a C Curve tripping characteristic, the RTA101030C is well-suited for circuits that may see moderate inrush currents — such as motor loads, lighting, or circuits with transient loads — because it trips at roughly 5–10× the rated current before disconnecting. Its Type A residual-current sensitivity detects both AC and pulsating DC leakage faults, offering enhanced protection with modern electronic equipment.
Compact and DIN-rail mountable, this RCBO fits easily into standard 35mm DIN rail consumer units, providing space-saving dual protection that’s compliant with current wiring regulations.
Features and Benefits
- Dual protection (RCD + MCB): Provides combined earth-leakage and overcurrent safety in a single module — reducing components and saving space.
- 10A current rating: Ideal for moderate-load circuits like lighting circuits, dedicated appliance feeds, and socket outlets.
- C Curve tripping characteristic: Balances sensitivity and tolerance for inrush currents, reducing nuisance trips on moderate transient events.
- Type A residual current detection (30mA): Detects AC and pulsating DC leakage currents, enhancing protection for modern electronics.
- 10kA breaking capacity: Handles high fault currents safely, suitable for most domestic and commercial distribution systems.
- Compact single-module design: Maximises usable space on DIN-rail panels.
- Easy installation: DIN-rail mounting with an included insulated neutral lead simplifies wiring.
- Regulation compliant: Meets UK/EU safety standards for consumer electrical systems.

Three Reasons Customers Recommend This
- All-in-one protection: Combines residual-current and overcurrent safety, eliminating the need for separate RCD and MCB devices.
- Reliable performance: C Curve tripping helps prevent nuisance trips on circuits with moderate transient loads while maintaining safety.
- High fault-handling capacity: 10kA breaking rating means it can interrupt significant fault currents safely — suitable for modern electrical installations.
Who Needs It
- Electricians and electrical contractors specifying individual circuit protection in consumer units, distribution boards, and sub-panels.
- Installers of residential or commercial electrical systems needing compact, dual-function protection that meets current safety codes.
- Maintenance teams or builders upgrading older installations to modern safety standards with combined RCD and MCB devices.
Who Can Install It
- Qualified electricians or competent electrical installers with experience in DIN-rail wiring and UK wiring regulations — internal panel work should be carried out with mains power isolated.
- Not suitable for untrained DIYers: Working inside live electrical panels carries serious risk and requires professional training.
