Does the job. Because it copes with a higher work load than other dimmers the inside is deeper, so it sits very snugly in the previously hewn out hole.

Direct replacement for an older version of the same make. Still looks perfect in my old Victorian house. Hopefully it will last 20 yrs like the old one did.

Starts warmish and dims to very warm, I liked the range which is much wider that the competitor I was using. However be careful to follow the instructions not to plug into a live socket .. I may have destroyed one like this...
