About the Forbes and Lomax Antique Bronze range
The Forbes and Lomax Antique Bronze Range of switches and sockets is especially versatile and can complement either a traditional or a modern property. These plates require little maintenance as they have a slight lacquer. A clean soft cloth can be used to wipe away any dust.
- The sockets are supplied with black inserts as standard to complement the dark finish of the plate.
- The Bronze range from Forbes & Lomax is available in: Dolly Switch, Rotary Dimmer, Button Dimmer, and Rocker Switch. Furthermore, a full range of socket outlets are available, including power outlets, European sockets, telecom
- and data, audio and visual, fused connection.
- The Antique Bronze range has a rich warm hue to the plates making them attractive in both contemporary and traditional interiors.
- These items also work particularly well on wood panelling and other unusual surroundings.
- The plates all have a slightly variable finish which adds to the distinctive look of the range.
- Many of the early light switches were made in Antique Bronze and the finish became very fashionable in the Art Deco period.
- The Antique Bronze range is durable and will stand the test of time.
- Original Antique Bronze switch plates can be seen in old buildings today still looking great a hundred years on.
- All switches conform to BSEN 60669-1:2018. 13amp sockets conform to BS1363- 2:2016 +A1: 2018, 2amp and 5amp sockets conform to BS546:1950
- Single plates measure 86mm x 86mm and double plates measure 146mm x 86mm
- All Forbes & Lomax switches and sockets require British standard 35mm deep flush wall boxes, but we recommend 47mm for ease installation
