This is the BG Nexus NPC12 Single Light Switch in a Polished Chrome raised plate, a 2-Way, 20A 16AX rated, for wall mounting indoors.
This polished chrome finish 20A 16AX single light switch from British General will operate one light in a room.
The 2 way switching allows a second switch to be added to the circuit to operate the same light from another location (e.g. at the top and bottom of the stairs).
